After years of waiting, MINI drivers can now access North American Charging Standard (NACS)–equipped charging stations, including Tesla Superchargers. But how does it all work? Let’s take a look.

MINI’s NACS to CCS adapter

The Lectron Vortex Plus NACS to CCS adapter for MINI is a purpose-built plug that lets MINI EV owners connect their car’s CCS charging port to Tesla Superchargers across North America, unlocking fast DC charging at over 25,000 locations. Engineered with a MINI-approved interlock system and UL 2252 certification for safe high-power charging, it’s rated up to 500 A and 1,000 V (500 kW), giving you the ability to add up to 150 miles of range in about 15 minutes depending on charger and vehicle conditions.
