MINI OS9 To get Key Functionally Upgrades

MINI OS9 continues its steady progress with key updates set to roll out in March 2025. Designed to make vehicle sharing easier and improve voice recognition, the update will be available over the air.

For vehicles built after March 1, 2025, Digital Key functionality will be expanded, allowing owners to add up to 18 keys per vehicle—a game-changer for those sharing their MINI with friends and family. Available on iOS devices, including smartwatches, Digital Key enables secure unlocking, locking, and starting of the vehicle without a physical key.

MINI has also enhanced the Intelligent Personal Assistant (IPA) with more accurate voice recognition and improved responsiveness. While the new IPA is already a major leap forward from the previous generation, there’s still room for refinement. These updates aim to address reported issues and further polish the experience.

Additionally, a new MINI-specific male voice will be added to the IPA’s catalog, expanding the current selection and giving users more personalization options.
