MINI To Return to the 24 Hours of Nurburgring in 2024

MINI is heading back to the 24 Hours of Nurburgring next year with Bulldog Racing. We heard the news from Charlie Cooper himself as he will be once again behind the wheel with several co-drivers taking on the legendary “Green Hell”. But the big question is, what car will MINI race with the current F56 MINI Cooper JCW going out of production?

While there’s nothing yet announced, we’d bet the car will be a production version of the new F66 MINI Cooper JCW. With no manual on offer for the F66, we expect the production based race car to come equipped with the dual clutch transmission. While we love seeing a manual at the ‘Ring last year (the only car in the field with one), the DCT will be a better match for the track and the competition.

As you can imagine MINI is thrilled to be heading back:

The car will be one once again by Bulldog Racing which has a long history of fielding cars for the race. Last year’s MINI Cooper JCW (which featured Charlie Cooper) came 2nd in class showing not only the strength of the car but also the team.
