Our MINI Countryman Cooper S Untamed edition has left the building. It’s been our daily driver for the past 12 months and has been the epitome of a loyal friend. But how does it compare with what else is out there from the brand and the forthcoming U25 Countryman? We took to the streets of Chicago for a one-take video review to tell you exactly what I’ve been thinking over the past 14,000 miles.

Let’s get past the very “on the nose” name Untamed for a moment and talk about this Countryman. This might be the best looking MINI Countryman we’ve ever seen that doesn’t have the JCW letters on it. Starting with an all-new color, Momentum Grey, MINI has crafted a unique, aggressive, yet sophisticated look. Color-coded logos, unique side graphics, wheels and side scuttles all add details that make this car special.

Inside it’s all about those gorgeous lounge leather seats which are finished in Highland Green lounge leather and a new textile that almost looks like wool. Add to this unique trim and you have an interior that might just be the star of the show here.
